The linear perspective created by the highway and the fenceline activates an otherwise passive scene. This was purchased by the Wyoming State Museum. Pastel, 22x26" I was proud to see this displayed above the Governor's desk in the Wyoming State Capitol Building. SOLD to the State of Wyoming, Purchase Award
This painting initiated by placing blobs of intense watercolors on a wet page & allowing said colors to dry. After the first colors dried I painted in negative spacial areas followed by transparent color overlays for an echoing of shapes and colors. SOLD to a customer from Albany, NY
Acrylic, 11x15" on primed paper. SOLD to a customer from Laramie, WY. This painting initiated with a live modeling session. Using my original painting as a reference, I abstracted parts of the pose and added the extremely linear and 2-D bench.
