Several years ago I was between Laramie WY & Ft Collins, CO and there were 52 mailboxes all lined up in a row along with square newspaper boxes. The mailboxes seemed to take on a quaint charm of city row houses and I did several large pastel drawings of the scene. Here I have made a "snippet" ACEO 2.5 x 3.5 original acrylic done in a folk art style of the scene.
ACEO original acrylic, 2.5 x 3.5" painted on gessoed matboard. Much of the West is ablaze this summer. This is my interpretation. This is reposted on eBay. My buyer never came through & is also no longer a registered eBay member.
This 9x12" watercolor was created by first spritzing over layers of leaves. I completed the painting by using a negative painting technique. I recently took it out of the frame & glass and am relisting the item.
ACEO original acrylic, art card measuring 2.5 x 3.5" painted on museum board and varnished for protection. The previous post surrounds the viewer closely by trees, this post uses atmospheric perspective to push the trees off into the distance, causing a less intimate image.
ACEO original acrylic art card 2.5 x 3.5" painted on gessoed matboard. This scene was sketched about 17 miles East of Laramie, looking back on the road upon which I had just traveled. I could go no further forward due to drifts.
ACEO original watercolor art card, 2.5 x 3.5" painted on vellum. Garden scene with jack-o-lantern reveals a "ghost" beyond all of the interferences. Just thought I would throw one in for Halloween.
