Detail, Composition III


This acrylic painting incorporates an image of Sherman and the Laramie River. The entire composition was a group of 9 small paintings clustered together. This was the largest of the group measuring 30x40" SOLD to a collector from Cheyenne, WY

Grand Mesa Spring


I drove through this area in the early Spring and was delighted to find the aspen trees colored in lavendars and light greens. Pastel, 22x26" SOLD to a collector from New York.

Clown Bar & Lounge


This abandoned structure in Bosler was a local hotspot years ago. All that is left of a once colorful past are the multicolored exterior walls.

Mid-Morning on Hwy 30


The linear perspective created by the highway and the fenceline activates an otherwise passive scene. This was purchased by the Wyoming State Museum. This still life employs several techniques including scumbling, pointillism, and on the red can the use of crushed paper to transfer the floral pattern onto the red followed by colored glazing.

Reverberation


This painting initiated by placing blobs of intense watercolors on a wet page & allowing said colors to dry. After the first colors dried I painted in negative spacial areas followed by transparent color overlays for an echoing of shapes and colors. SOLD to a customer from Albany, NY

Sage Subdivisions




30x40" acrylic This painting was inspired by a trip to Saratoga, Wyoming. Subdivisions which provided water were lush and green.

30x40" acrylic This painting is based on direct observation. I intensified the colors when I returned to the studio and made a bit of color vibration with the outlines.
This painting was just accepted into the Wyoming Governor's Capitol Art Exhibit. SOLD Recipient of a purchase award from the State of Wyoming.

Homage to Chuck


20x26" acrylic SOLD to a customer from Texas. I enjoyed painting this "digitalized" still life. I worked thoughout the night and finished it at dawn!
