Shadow Study

In this scumbling demon-stration, I wanted to show how subtle colors could be added, and a very simple subject could become quite challenging. Oil on panel, 6x6".

This still life employs several techniques including scumbling, pointillism, and on the red can the use of crushed paper to transfer the floral pattern onto the red followed by colored glazing.

This watercolor is my entry into the Wyoming Watercolor Society's Southeastern show to be held at Gallery Westin Laramie. I produced this with a 1/2" flat brush with individual strokes. Do NOT do this if you are afraid of those permanent squint/frown lines.
